I'd never heard that term used before until I read this, Debbie. It's a little scary........

Usually when the term Malignant MS is used it is referring to MS variants such as Marburg's.

Snoopy is right Marburgs is the Extreme MS that is usually fatal. Only about less than one percent of MSers have this variant, however, so very rare. The Old Chronic Progressive type of MS, which puts you in a bed and a nursing home pretty fast, may also be a part of this?
Don't worry, none here that I know of are suffering from either of these variants of MS.. ![]()

I read about "Marburg" MS a while back, and I seem to recall 'sudden onset' and fatal within 6 months to 1 year following onset, but it's been a while since I learned about it a bit.
