My Consumer Reports magazine lists 2 "bagged" Oreck vacuums as highly rated in handling:
Oreck XL Platinum Power team and Oreck Edge U8000 both very expensive at $600 and $800. One that rated very good was the Dirt Devil Featherlite Bagless MO85845 for $50 (sold at Target) I have none of the above, but thought I'd pass along the info.
