Default I found a practitioner to use Jack the cats machine on me!

You know that machine that my vet laid Jack on? well it gave him miraculous results. ONE treatment and he was hugely better.

I found a practitioner in my state that uses this machine (but makes NO claim of healing, medical treatment, or improvements) its viewed as a form of "bio feedback" but its the exact same machine! I also know someone (a healthy girl) who sees her, and claims that even tho she was healthy when she went in, she helped with several issues that were "bugging her" (one of those who has never been sick a day in her life, but I listened) so...I made an appointment.

HUGELY expensive! My first visit will be between 800 and 1000 dollars! It will be worth every penny if I can see again. It will be worth every penny if I get half the results that my cat got. im worried, scared, and somehow I keep hearing the word "quack" in my head, but im gonna give it a go.

My appointment with her is March 1. I will let you know how it goes. See the video on my cats thread in the stumble inn if you want to know about this machine. Will it be placebo? will it be a miracle? will it be hogwash? dunno, but im gonna find out.

Here is the link for the machine. http://www.myspace.com/video/3183619...video/31313387

Whoa that's alot of money.

But I am curious if it helps you, too. We have various posts on PN and RSD about machines like this... PN has the Rebuilder and RSD has Calmare.

I myself use high gauss magnets on my back when I am sleeping and they help me tremendously with chronic back pain.

So I am curious to see if that helps you too. It can really be hit or miss, you know.

You saw what it did for Jack first hand. Whether it will work for you or not you'll never know unless you try. It's a lot of money and if it doesn't work, you're out the money. But if it works it would be worth every penny spent. Sitting over here it's easy to say that you'd be crazy to risk that kind of money. If I was sitting over there in your position, I would be thinking go for it. It's worth the risk. So I will pray and send positive vibes your way that this works and helps you in some way.

I watched the video..very interesting. One Doc compared it to Accupuncture. I don't understand the necessity for being so expensive. How much did it cost for Jack?

To me, that's the quack factor...No guarantee, but it's gonna cost ya.

OK, I'm a skeptic. I probably wouldn't have tried LDN if it had been outlandishly priced.

I'm not in your shoes, however, so I wish you the best with this therapy. If it works for you, it couldn't be placibo, because it worked for Jack!!! And I hope it does work for you..

Money is just paper and ink. I'm glad you are using it to try to make things better. Hope it helps you.

Snake oil? I don't know, but I've never seen a rusty snake.

Default Hi Dej

I posted to you before about the science behind this theory. That is alot of money to give, to a product that has claims not substantiated by science. I don't want to say don't do it, it is just I feel something is wrong about this. Money is hard earned, the economy is bad. I would have to have a proven form of treatment with a scientific backing to invest this much. I know I could be wrong Dej, I read alot in the physics dept. and this kind of science is not that advanced yet. Are you really sure you want to do this. If you do and it works, I will be the first in line, followed by most of us on NT. Take care, and my best to Jack the Cat. ginnie

Hmmm...

I believe in magnet/electrical therapy. Our bodies are electromagnetic machines, after all, that get out of whack from environmental toxins.
I have seen shows about a magnetic machine that therapists use on the brain to lessen symptoms of depression.

You have seen your kitty improve health-wise from this...as you said, the placebo effect wouldn't apply to him, since they don't have the capacity to convince themselves that a therapy is working.

Have you done a lot of research into this? You have tried the various allopathic therapies, and have gotten worse. Have you tried alternative therapies like accupuncture?

You are the one who is suffering so...if you make a reasoned argument, I am sure your husband will be on the same page. But I understand about the $$ issue with your man...mine is the same way about things.

Let us know...keep us informed...and know we are walking with you, if only in the virtual world

Trust me, I am #1 in line with the skeptics. I didnt want to believe my kitty would get better with hocus pocus man waving his magic wand over him, but...there he is, playing in the sun today. Rolling over, asking to shred my socks that I was going to wear. Asking to please let me have him help me change the bed, and playing happily in the pile of warm laundry when it came out of the dryer.

I have MY own money, so I wont be asking DH for any. Its just that we discuss ALL of our choices on what to spend money on. From pasta to percocet, we talk about it. 1 grand is a HUGE amount of money to me, but look how many lined up to give 10k to the CCSVI procedure only to have it either not work, work for a bit and have to pay to have it re-done or ...how many bottles of monavie juice have we purchased? How many times have I had accupuncture? accupressure? massage? TENS units? spinal stimulators? unlabled bottles of skunk urine to rub on my feet? put a bar of soap under my sheets to prevent cramps? isnt it funny how far we are willing to go.

I personally saw my kitty go from deaths door (i was going to put him to sleep if they didnt do something dramatic) to being a playful kitty and full of love. He cannot be influenced by placebo effect. So...there MUST be something to this!

So...I AM going to see this woman. I AM going to keep praying that my sight will return. That the blind will see, and the lame will walk. Do I expect her to correct 50 years of bad habits, insults, injuries, and meds over night? well..I hope, but probably it will be a series of stuff. I was raised on an indian reservation so I am accustomed to the roots, berries, and naturopathic way of doing stuff.

Thanks for the prayers and well wishes. It will either be the best money I ever spent, or the one with the best tale to it.

Good luck dej! At first I was thinking another snake oil "cure", but after seeing the video and especially hearing of Jack's wonderful response, I'm not so sure. You're the one who isn't able to see.....it's your money as you said....so it certainly should be up to you to make the decision to have this treatment or not. There seem to be no bad side effects, which can't be said of our MS therapies, so in my humble opinion....go for it! You've got nothing to lose and a whole new life to gain!!!
