I have lost the weight I needed to loose. I had to, because my ankles couldn't support me at 192 on a 5' 1" frame. I had lived my life heavy. I now am at 132.
I started little changes, NO soda, not the diet kind either, gave up oils and fats in cooking. No fast food. I went from there. Small changes in daily habits helps alot. I eat oatmeal, steel cut variety as much as I can. I eat alot of fruit and apples every day if I can. I also love dried mango by sunsweet. It takes the edge off of wanting to snak. No chips, or fried and that kind of stuff. My weight did come down over the course of one year. Personally I think it is in your desire to loose. I had pain as a motivating factor, which really does work. I couldn't afford weight watchers, and all those programs, so I decided to do it on my own. I had tried all my life and failed time and time again. This time, I won't gain it back. Have been stable now four years. My fear of not walking well, BP, and general health were bad, and that motivated me. If you need any receipe ideas I have them. I eat mexican and fresh foods as much as possible. Little fat, chicken and fish. You can do this if I can. I am 60 years old, it is better late then never. I wish you all the best. ginnie |
