We think my mom's dad had MS. He had some kind of progressive paralysis but this was back in the 30's & early 40's so there was never a firm diagnosis. He eventually got to where he couldn't swallow and just wasted away. My sister, who died at age 52 with diabetes and congestive heart failure, had some strange symptoms the drs could never figure out. I've had some of the same strange symptoms with my diagnosed MS, so it's possible she had it but it was hidden by her other illnesses. Some of my first cousins on my mom's side have a variety of autoimmune diseases, like lupus. So I do worry about my kids too.
