I was hobbling and hanging onto the shopping cart for dear life (leaving Target), when a nice lady walked with me to my car and held onto the cart. When we crossed in front of the store a car had to stop to let us go. When I got to the handicapped spot where I parked, they beeped their horn at us and shook their fists because we didn't walk fast enough! (Sorry for the inconvenience).

I feel so sorry for folks like that. Just imagine how miserable their life must be for them to feel so angry and impatient all the time. If someone beeps at me or, worse, yells something at me I just smile back at them. Not in a taunting way but a friendly way because they obviously need a little kindness in their life. I think they are truly more "handicapped" than I am. If it makes just one person have a second thought then it's worth it.
