Just alittle info, I had an LP done 20yrs ago and it was negative for MS but the MRI's showed the MS. I just did another LP in December of 2011 and it showed the o-bands. Dont ever give up. LP's were horrible in my experience, but its not that way for everyone. Good luck to you.

So Sally in 1976 they didn't out you in a hot bath tub to diagnose you?

I think I must have missed out on something here because I'd never heard of the hot-bath thing until recently. I was diagnosed mere months after our dear SalPal ... yes you beat me Sal. I too was diagnosed well before MRIs were invented. Mr McDonald was our hero way back then

It was unpleasant but not terrible. They had to go in multiple times because they had trouble getting fluid, but eventually they got it. My lower back is really sore today. I've been mostly lying down flat. No sign of any headache though!

Yes it was under the scope. No, they didn't give me anything for anxiety. All they gave me was a local in my back. My next neurologist appt is in the middle of august, so I'll get results either then or earlier.
