You will do fine. I had mine in the doctors office, no medication. It took the neurologist 4 trys to get the needle in (because I have scolosis). Even with all this it wasn't that bad. I did however, get a severe spinal headache. I was allowed to get up 15 minutes after the prodedure and sit in the car for a 45 minute ride home.
So, the fact that you are going to have it done with video fluroscopy....and medication, you will do great! Remember to lay flat and drink a lot of caffeine....like a large coke from McDonalds. Keep us posted!

I have had 3 spinal taps, one in the emergency room with no medicine, just a well experienced doctor that did a wonderful job. The other tow were done in radiolgy under flouroscopy in which it is pretty hard for the doctor to miss because the flouroscopy is helping to guide the needle with right where it needs to go.
Oh, the day after I had my first one in ER we packed up and went to Disney World. No problesm except normal problems you have when you are taking a 4 and 7 year old on vacation
