Thank you all once again for your support.....there really isn't anyone else that understands. My legs have begun to swell again even though I've been keeping them elevated. The discoloration is gradually going away so it doesn't look like I have gangreen(sp?)!!!

A nurse from Care Givers of America is supposed to call this evening to arrange a consultation for me to let them care for my legs this time. Maybe I'll even find an aide to help me out a few hours a week. My doctor's office made the arrangements so I don't have to do it. I'm thankful for small things.

Ann.....I didn't make the connection when I was typing about the catheter! Have to find humor wherever we can....... Thanks for pointing it out. Anyway, it's definitely staying out for now and I'm going to think long and hard about the supra-pubic "variety".

I agree Sally, at this stage of our lives, why can't we catch a break once-in-awhile???? Guess this "thing" has no respect for age seeing that we as well as kids are a target. Hopefully there will be a good stretch for awhile after all the bad lately. My son and his family are a little over an hour away. They're the ones I see the most often....he's a bio-medical technician at a hospital and his wife works in the lab. She's a sweetie. One daughter lives about the same distance away, but since she's married to a "questionable" guy, they can't seem to be able to keep a car running for long so I don't see her very much. My youngest, another daughter, lives in Mesa, AZ so it's mostly emails for us. She tries to visit once a year.

Oh yeah, my dog, Tasha, is six years old. She was two when I got her as a gift after my first Bichon had to go to the Rainbow Bridge at 15-1/2. Tasha was glad to get home and be back with her "Mommy", but she loves most people and had a fun time on her vacation. She got to go outside alot more than here since there were three adults to take her for walks.

Thanks so much one more time for your love and support.......it really does help.
