Default Houston vets

Anyone out there? Veteran's day, 11/11/2012, is also the day of the local MS walk at the Univ of Houston, and nmss lonestar chapter is honoring vets with MS. I really don't want to be the only vet there...

Hey Tom

I thought you were still "in the closet" as far as being open about your MS. Have you retired from NASA?

Give us an update please!

No, still working. Nobody at work knows I have MS, but I do things with the NMSS like volunteer at walks and the big bike thing every year.

NASA's still alive. I've got the space station to look after. ATV just undocked yesterday (it's the european re-supply ship) and will burn up over the Pacific Ocean tomorrow. SpaceX launches October 7th (we think...) and will dock with the ISS. Our budget has been slashed to the bone. We pay the Russians $56M every time an American astronaut goes up on a russian Soyuz.

Wish I could be there, Tom! It's a bit more of a drive than it used to be.

I don't know any Vets with MS, other than you and I can't think of anyone better than you to do the job, by yourself of with a crowd.

Take care of yourself and my best wishes to you and yours..
