Default what a waste

So my doc just recently switched me from avonex to copaxone. I just got a 3 month supply of avonex pens shipped to me and I started the copaxone today. I called multiple places to inquire if I could donate this medicine and no organization can accept it. So I guess I will just throw out thousands of dollars worth of medications. Thank goodness I only had to pay 30 bucks.

Default Hi brmr

I agree with you what a waste of medication when so many can't afford it to begin with. I am dead set against waste like that. If meds have not been opened, I wish there was a way to donate them. However they don't because of worry of tampering. I wasted a few scripts, and felt bad about it too. ginnie

Your Insurance co ought to, at least, be able to send them back for a refund!!! This is why our premiums are so high.

I just stopped copaxone and have a 4 month supply in my fridge and my neuro is going to take them and donate them to a fellow MSer who cant afford the med. Would your neuro do the same?

They won't take them because of Federal Laws.
