Had a day and half of general pain, stiffness and spasms that started on Saturday morning, but thankfully things are feeling better by noon today. Was even able to have a nice walk in the winter wonderland with Willy the dog this afternoon .

With love, Erika

Well, did y'all survive the holiday bustle and hoopla.. I'm sure that some of you didn't and for that, I'm so sorry.

I'm an old hand at ignoring anything that causes me stress and even I had my MS moments......and they thought we were having a good time..LOL.

For those who are hurting, I'm praying you will be feeling better soon.

For those who made it through, none the worse for wear, congrats and keep the momentum going..

Doing a bit better now that the house has emptied out. Saw the neuro & he adjusted my AD so I wasn't so tired, and put me back on another med to help with several Sxs. He let me boo hoo...when I told him I'm afraid I'll end up in a WC, he took my hand & replied, "you have 2 bald guys who won't let that happen" (meaning DH & him). Talked a lot again about staying active, having a positive attitude, etc...he treats the whole person and is great.
So now my #1 target is to lose this weight...

Yesterday started having blurred vision and fatigue. Woke up this morning in a sweat with a stinker of a headache, neck stiffness and dizziness. Then after this morning's bath, I found some dried blood on the Q-tip that I used to clean my right ear with. Since then a sore throat and ear ache have been developing.

Blast! Seems that there is a virus or some sort of other infection on board .
Very frustrating because I'm very careful about washing hands, using hand sanitizers, not touching my face etc.

Hopefully the immune system will do its thing on the bug and not ignite the MS; as things have been improving in that department lately .

With love, Erika

Thanks for your well wishes.

The most recent symptoms have begun to settle down .

Saw the a doc at a walk-in clinic (couldn't get into my regular guy). He found a perforation in my right eardrum with some blood and crud leaking out of the hole. He said that an infection in the middle ear had built up enough pressure to cause the perforation (quite common apparently). He was surprised that I hadn't had an earache or hearing loss, but I told him that due to the severity of the headache along with the already present hearing loss and constant ringing in the ears (have had that for months due to MS nerve stuff), that it probably didn't register.

He also said that the tonsils are inflamed, so it looks like the infection is an ear, throat kind of thing.

A course of oral antibiotics and the eardrum should heal up good as new on its own within a couple of months. He figures that the other symptoms are probably due to the infection, so the antibiotics (and a few things out of my own bag of tricks - LOL), should settle things down.

With love, Erika
