Default Update...

So I went to my pcp this morning to get the results from my emg last week. It was totally normal, of course, and she forgot to make a referral to a new neuro so here I am trying to hurry up and wait some more. I have been almost completely bedridden since the emg due to dizziness, muscle weakness with daily falls, and complete exhaustion! I asked her if she has any suggestions of something I can do to help myself and her response was 'I don't know what to tell you other than exercise and buy a walker'. I'm 37 years old and being told its time to use a walker but they can't tell me why I need to? Ugh!! I went off of all my isotonic vitamins a few months ago because I thought if my symptoms were worse I would get help quicker but that is not the case. I really just wanted the docs to see with their own eyes all that is happening but it seems their eyes are shut, lol. So today I will start all of my vitamins again and hope that in a couple days I will feel a bit better

Well that sucks, Lisa..

If I were you I get a new Neuro to run or rerun some of the diognostic tests. You need a second, perhaps from a Neuro more educated in MS, opinion.

Stay with us and let us know how it goes for you.

Lisa, I wish you better days and soon!

You said you saw the PCP. Do you have a neuro?

Hi Ann- thank you. My pcp is referring me to a new neuro because my current one has said that's he doesn't believe I have ms due to an mri that didn't show lesions 3 years ago. My pcp has told me that she believes that it may be ms due to symptoms & what has been ruled out but wants me to see a new neuro for further testing. I have been so confused because if that is what she thinks, why not order the tests herself? This has already been such a long process!! Not trying to whine- just don't know what to do next!
