RE living off the grid:

My late husband and I did that for 12 years...until he got terminal brain and bone cancer.
Looks like there are no guarantees; even when one loves a relatively 'pure' lifestyle.
Evenso, I still think that it is a good idea to limit things that may have the potential to negatively affect one's health.
