I know that some meds can cause you to have vivid dreams or
nightmares. I think it's my LDN, which I will not stop taking, ever.. ![]() But, since my worse vivid dreams, that just stiffen my MS body up in a pretzel, are at my nap time and not my night sleep, I'm wonder- ing if it's the food. I take my nap shortly after lunch and lunch is my big meal. At night, when I take my LDN, I'll have eaten a light dinner at about 6:30 and then don't sleep till about 11/12midnight. I usually wake in the morning more rested, even though I sleep at 3/4 hr intervals. Naptime is really hard on me. I wake up , after a 2/3 hr nap, not rested at all and stiff and tired from my vivid dream, in which I take active part. ![]() ![]() ![]() Do any of you have this problem? If so what do you do to prevent it?

I have extremely vivid dreams but have never thought it to be from food. I always thought it was my Avonex. But yet I can have dreams on nights that I ahven't taken it. One night I had one so weird that I fought hard in my sleep to get out of it. Since I don't sleep in the same room as my husband I don't know if I am restless enough that I would wake him. I know that i could write a best seller from them. Sometimes it can be an explicitly sexual movie and sometimes it might be a horror or sci fi.

I know medicines can affect your dream life. So, it makes sense that some foods can as well.
It sounds as though you are not getting in to a good REM sleep during the night and maybe that is why you are having those dreams at naptime. I have experienced more vivid and wild dreams during my nap. It doesn't happen all the time but it does happen. This is from an article I found at http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/b...ding_sleep.htm "If our REM sleep is disrupted one night, our bodies don't follow the normal sleep cycle progression the next time we doze off. Instead, we often slip directly into REM sleep and go through extended periods of REM until we "catch up" on this stage of sleep. " If this is the case with you, then at naptime you probably head right in to REM sleep. ![]() |

Awakened from my nap to the prettiest snow.
![]() About an inch, just beautiful. They keep saying light snow, but it's still snowing and it's getting deep. ![]() No nightmare today. ![]()
