I've become very "noise intolerant", too. I sit with the TV remote in hand and mute the television often. Things that didn't use to bother me really do now.

Screaming people (game shows are the worst) are just like fingernails on a blackboard to me. There are a couple of commercials that I just can't listen to.

The grocery store is also a hot zone for loudness. I don't know if it's the MS or just me getting older (I'm only 52 so I doubt that's it) but noise just seems to really bother me now. I avoid loud people if possible. Sometimes it's just not feasible, though.
