Default U. T. I. ?

I may be getting another darn UTI. What was that OTC med that
Mrs D said was good for uti's?

If it heads that way, I know I'll have to call my Doc for an AB, but
I always like to try the OTC method first. Sometimes the Cranberry
caps and UZO tabs will nip it in the bud.

Anyone remember?....MrsD?

Thanks

I don't know the answer but I think I keep a uti! I use Azo for pain but don't think they "cure" it. Mine seems to happen mostly right after my period (sorry guys!)

Been using Echinacea & drinking cranberry juice (the caps work, if you can swallow them).

Keep drinking water; it helps flush your system.

I found it.....D-mannose is the stuff. It doesn't kill the bacteria,
but encourages e-coli to leave the bladder. Must have a stern
talk with it..lol. I'll give it a try???

My cultures always turn out to be e coli as well...and I am fastidious with my hygiene...I'm always embarrassed when the nurse tells me about the culture.

Sal, do you occasionally get sxs of a UTI and then the next day they're gone?

Yes I do. I think that happened this time??
I'm feeling ok today, but it may come back as it does
sometimes, too.

I hope it's not another UTI in the works. Glad to hear that yesterday you felt better. Just keep an eye on it and if you feel worse again, get it checked out.

Unhappy

Hi Sally,

glad your UTI is going away. I got one while traveling overseas recently. I saw a doctor there. But when I stopped the antibiotics it came roaring back. I now have a fever of 100.4 and all the usual symptoms.

I am at my wit's end with these endless UTIs. It is putting a serious strain on my marriage. I was getting ready to try this D- Mannose stuff as a matter of fact. Has anyone here had success with it?
