Default Spots On My Tongue

Hi All,
I was getting ready to clean my tongue and I discovered that there are spots on my tongue. they are not raised but they are pink and white. They do not hurt but it is covered all over my tongue.

I just wanted to know if this is something that is related to MS?

Please speak to your promary care physician.

Hmmm....sounds suspiciously like a yeast problem. Oral thrush is common, particularly with children, the elderly, the immunosuppressed and there are many on here who have difficulties with recurrent yeast infections (though the location varies).

Have you had a cold/flu/sore throat or anything like that? Do you have spots on the roof of your mouth or in your throat? If so, that may be more indicative of strep.

Go and see a doctor - it could just as easily be something else, but better to know, and get on top of it before it causes any problems.

As others on here have said to me (and it is so true) - we know our bodies, and we are so aware of things that are going on with us, that when things change, we know all about it.

Regards

Lyn

Have you eaten a lot of sugary foods lately? When I was a kid and I'd eat certain kinds of candy (Smarties, usually), I'd get little sugar "blisters" on my tongue. I don't know if they were thrush or just a side effect of eating way too much sugar than was good or healthy for me.

Is there any pain?

Let us know what your Doc says. It does sound
like yeast. Hope you are better soon.
