Before I start I just want to state that I do know not ALL cases of MS enable the person to do the things I am linking too and I have utmost respect for those people really really taken down by MS and I apologize if my inspiration threads make you angry or give a false hope of MS. However these stories on the internet I find, really help me out and they do inspire me a ton. As a serious cyclist and worrying about having to give it up, any story like this keeps my determination up.
and I want to share. This woman has secondary progressive MS and routinely bikes in 90 mile rides and is doing a 180 mile ride soon. She no longer can use a regular bike but uses a three wheeler-lay down type, but to me it would be harder and slower that way, especially 180 miles. She says that before she found cycling she was in bad shape and ever since she has been cycling she has not used a cane to even walk through the mall with. She gives the credit to execises and cycling in enabling her to do that. http://www.yourhoustonnews.com/tomba...a4bcf887a.html |
