I don't think I would be going to the Y if the membership didn't come with my insurance. We can afford it without the free membership but it's not something that I would normally pursue. A lot of the Y's have an aquatic class that is geared towards people with MS, other people in the class also but it's good for the MS. So the local MS society pays for that one class. If there isn't a Y and some gym in town has an aquatic class that is geared for more of the disabled, they might pay for the one class. Now it only paid for one session which lasts so many weeks, If you want to take the next session, you have to pay for it yourself.

Did an 8 mile walk today!

I did have to sit on the rocks a couple of times, but, just a month ago I couldn't walk one mile.

feels nice!

I was quite lazy over the weekend. I registered 180 steps on my pedometer yesterday! So today was back at the Y. I ca always ride m bike better after I have rested a couple of days. But I was able to get in all of my machines. Now I am standing beside these guys grunting and groaning lifting their weights of 50 pounds and I am lifting my 3 pounds but that's OK. This one machine is called abcore and you can do it with or without weights and there is this nice sign that asks you to please remove your weights when you are done. So when I go over to it I notice quite a few weights on it. I can remove the first one, it's small. The next one is hard, it's 50 pounds. But the last was more than 50 pounds! I can't imagine having a weight more than 50 pounds! So as these hunky guys walk past me I ask them if they can remove them for me. They just walk right by and 'ignore' me until I see that most of these guys have their earphones in. Finally I get some one to remove it. My favorite is called an eagle row and I do 30 pounds on it. I just wish the scales were more kind to me. I have gained 3 pounds but lost 3 inches.
