He sounds like a good one. Listens! And I hope the propanalol is good for you as it has been for me. He's right that IVSM is powerful. I could not even think of taking it, as I have Porphyria, and it would put me into a porph attack. Because there are many drugs I can't take (and some I can) I have to work hard on using means which are as natural as possible to help things. I do suggest you take some magnesium, as it might help the tremors. I don't know if it would, but it's great for some neuro problems, like spasticity and jerking of the limbs. It might help your tremors. Everyone should take some extra magnesium, I think, in any case, as it is often low in one's body and it does so many good things. A neuro had me take it. He said to look for one which does not cause too much diarrhea. I have SOME diarrhea from taking it, but I live with it. I MUST take 1000 mg a day in divided doses. Mag Citrate is the one most likely to cause diarrhea. Also you could be low on calcium. Cal Citrate is good, does not cause diarrhea.
MS involves a lot of waiting, as you are finding out. I hope you find something to make you laugh. |

Yep, thanks to Mrs. D I'm on the Slow Mag from WM. It helps the twitching for sure, I just don't know about the tremors. I do need more supplements in general, I was taking this:
http://rainforestbioenergy.com/ (I can't seem to get the product link right, go to products and then nerve formula) I ran out and hadn't bought more, but I know I felt better. I just need to figure out if that one is right or if I should get each one singly. Yeah, I do like a doc who listens. When I first met him he said he gets 80% of his info just listening to what the patient says. |

That link crashed my computer and I am loathe to try again.
Glitzy website typically means high prices for very little. I had to "fight" to view ingredients, and that is when it crashed. ![]()

Mrs. D, please inform me what WM stands for, as I might like to order the Slow Mag myself. I will need to replace magnesium soon. Maybe I could take less if it's time released. Thanks.

How much propanalol is "low"? Mine is low, 15 mg in 3 divided doses 5 mg each. But I don't take it for tremors, so I am wondering. I take it for atrial fibrillation and it also lowers BP a little and is supposed to help anxiety. But I do not have the severe tremors you have. I have intention tremors, I believe.
Thanks for the tip on Wal Mart magnesium. I'll look it up to try to see the ingredients. I am sensitive to some ingredients. |

I started with 80mg but it's the slow release kind that I take once a day. I was told that was the lowest XR dose. I don't think it's working, I'm usually pretty sensitive to things, but sometimes things don't work at all (like Valium). I can feel the tremor in my whole upper right quadrant.
I wonder how long it takes to build up so I can feel it? I though either he said or that I read it can take a while for it to work. Mine are intention tremors too. They started off right away this morning, quicker than the past few days. I have to eat lunch so I can take my dose today. I'm just happy I trained myself years ago to use my mouse with my left hand, even though I'm right handed. I had pulled a ligament and it hurt to use my right hand, and I found typing with my right and using my mouse with my left is quite handy. So no shaky mouse! Ha ha. |
