Default Behind eyes feels hot- anyone else had this?

last year, for two months, behind my eyes would feel hot, not burning or painful, but like a fever was coming on without the presence of a fever. After that it stopped.

But, just today I got this sensation again. No idea if allergy related? Eyes do NOT appear red or irritated, or watery in any way.

Anyone else have this?

And thanks everyone for putting up with all my Qs.

Having follow up with neuro tomorrow so I've been thinking over all old symptoms over last few years!

I haven't had the sensation of heat, but I get a lot of weird pains in around and behind my eyes. Sometimes I feel pressure, like my eyes are bulging out of their sockets. Other times is a combination pressure and a very odd painful sensation...it might be one of heat. I'd say the odds that your sensation is MS related, but I would not hesitate to see an ophthalmologist to make sure it's not with your eyes per se.

A lot of facial/eye pain comes from the trigeminal nerves just in front of your ear, and spread in various tracts across the face, eyes, cheeks, mouth, and can include what feels like tooth pain. (I know because I have all of these from time to time.)

I also know how uncomfortable it can be. Hope you are feeling better.

How did your appointment go? Even with ON, I still have to see an ophthalmologist. They have better equipment in their offices, to see what exactly is going on, if and when, anything is going on.

Sounds uncomfortable. Pressure, in the eyes, reminds me of glaucoma!

Hi,

I had my appointment last week and I have an MRI scheduled on Monday bright and early!

The appointment went 'ok'. This neuro is really not good but was the first one I could get into. She doesn't listen well, and explains nothing. Perfect right lol. I'll try to find another one soon,

Default burning behind eye

Yes I have that. I also have crushing pain, pressure, cold sensation, muscle spasms, and rip-your teeth out pain. I am next to see another specialist for atypical trigeminal neuralgia. I saw doctors for my eyes, ENTs, oral surgeons, had my wisdom teeth out, dentists, (now) tmj specialist and neurologists.

So far I've used gabapentin, which worked for me a bit but now use a retainer for the s pasms.

Hope this helps a bit.

Just in case, try some moisture eye drops (nothing in it to get the red out).
Plain ole moisture drops.....see if you notice any improvement in the way the area feels.
