i have a lot of muscle pain but nothing like what you describe. i think it's wise that you both are seeing the dr.
if your friend is having visual problems perhaps also seeing an opthamologist would be in order. eye drs often can pick things up by looking in the eyes. please let us know how you both make out. keep a sx (symptom) journal with dates and sx's. it may be helpful for the drs. and, ps...start to keep copies of test results for a medical file. it will be helpful for other drs.
