Default I fell, balance issues

Last night we were at a friend's house, I missed a step, started loosing my balance, DH caught me but I injured my foot a little (bruised and lost skin as I was barefoot). I asked DH a couple hours later how he thought my balance was, and he said "challenged". Sigh. I'm glad he was there because if he wasn't, I would have ate it right into a rose bush.

So I know this is going on. Sometimes I get up from sitting and look a little like a weeble wobble until I get my bearings. I do not have vertigo or feel disbalanced in my head. I just feel like my body isn't cooperating. And I think I mentioned somewhere before, I feel like I'm being pushed down sometimes, my body wants my pelvic bones to be a few inches closer to the floor while walking, or somebody is kicking me behind my knees, or the rug is being pulled out from under me.

My pain doc's office called me yesterday to say they're going to send a referral to UCSF's MS dept as I asked them to do, so that's good. I'm glad I called that dept instead of waiting for my appt in Sept for the regular Neuro appt. I should be talking to them to make the appt today or Monday.

Sunday is this event in town where there are a ton of bands performing on people's "porches" (or driveways, etc). Ideally DD and I were going to hop on our bikes and see a bunch of them. I really want to see both a ska band and an irish punk band. The houses hosting the bands are all like a block from each other, totally invading town. I hope I can pull it off, I don't want to drive a block at a time. I've been looking forward to it. I'm going to have to rest all day Saturday so I can do this. It's so important to do thinks like this with my DD.
