Default Worried I could have MS

Last year, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia because of my pain. I accepted it and have lived with it. But, for about the last 6 weeks or so, things have gotten worse with different symptoms. First of all, I am always tired and just doing routine things wears me out. And at night, it's hard to sleep, because of my legs. (Restless Leg Syndrome, I think.) I also urinate a lot, even going a few times a night. It seems like I've always got a headache, and had to go to the doctor to get two shots to relieve a migraine last week. And I've noticed that if I stand in the same spot for more than a few minutes, my middle toes (sometimes one foot, sometimes both) go numb. Also, lately I keep off and on nausea. But the most worrisome symptom I have developed is the problem with my vision. This has just gotten worse in the last week. It comes and goes, but my vision gets really blurry and it's difficult to see and my eyes hurt. And now it's interfering with my work, as I work online for a website. I hope I'm just over-reacting, and I don't have MS. What does everyone here think? Thank you!

Hi Michelle, welcome. I would you get yourself to a Neuro
/Opthomologist, ASAP, for a diagnosis and care.

Let us know how it goes.

Welcome to NT!

I was dxd with fibro way back in the mid 80s. It can mimic MS symptoms. I don't ever recall reading about vision problems with fibro however.

Keep a symptom journal and a list of questions for your doctor. Keep us updated too

hi michelle and welcome to NT,

have you seen your pcp? what does he say.
i agree since your eyes are being affected you should see an opthamologist asap. your pcp's office can give you a referral if needed.

MS can have so many sx's (symptoms) and can be harder to dx (diagnose).
try not to think too far ahead as it will just stress you out.
start with a plan to see your pcp and the eye dr and go from there.

please let us know how you are.

Some of your symtoms also sound like diabetes. Have you been checked for that? Urinating a lot, eye problems, tingling toes, can also signal diabetes. You should be checked for that too! I am a type 1 diabetic since age 19, I am 58 now and I am a insulin pump user.

I would definitely relate these symptoms to your GP and let him/her rule everything out. It could be something other than MS. Be your own advocate, ask questions and see that everything is ruled out first.
