Default Feeling cold on one side?

I've had a lot of weird sensations over the last 12-13 years: numbness, tightness, pain, water trickling, bugs crawling, hot spots, skin "moving", and many more. But recently I've felt cold on my right side. It's mostly the upper part of my body, arm and shoulder, sometimes neck and head, side and hip/thigh.

I thought I was feeling a draft because it mostly happens when I'm sitting on the sofa. But I now realize that it happens in other places, and when I'm not near a window or other source of draft.

If it were just my hand and possibly arm, I would suspect a circulation issue, maybe from positioning. But it's creeping me out. It feels exactly like I'm sitting next to a window in the winter time, not the feeling of a breeze or wind, but just...cold. And not over my whole body, just the right side.

Anyone else?

Nope...I haven't experienced that one. Sure hope that you find out what it is though.

Is your skin actually cold, or is it just the sensation of being cold? If your skin is actually cold it could be a circulatory issue, which in turn could be from the MS affecting nerves that control dilation and constriction of the arteries. Best to have it checked out...especially if it continues.

With love, Erika

I was just researching my problem of excessive sweating & MS and I read that our thermoregulators can be affected, causing my problem as well as one-sided coldness.

Chalk it up to another gift that MS has given you

Hope it goes away soon

Yes, I've had that symptom at different junctions of my Disease.
One side would feel warm and the other side would feel cold.

I believe that Debbie hit the nail on the head and also our
messed up sensory problems.

Ah HA! Thanks Debbie D, and others who have contributed to this thread. I was actually coming here to read about what could be the reason why my left side goes absolutely ice cold feeling regularly. Figures it's the MS. Thought it might be migraine (not ruling that out either though!).

I can't seem to regulate body temperature these days at all. Sometimes I feel like my skin's burning from the inside out (not painful or uncomfortable... it just feels like a faint sensation of burning, most noticeably around my stomach/waist, and on my shoulders/back).

It's time for one of these....
