Default Us ss cola 2014
Posted this in the Social Security forum, but will repeat it here. The SS COLA for 2014 is 1.5%. At least we get a raise - many years there was no raise at all.

Mine will be eaten up by my Medicare increase but at least I have it to use it for that. Without it my check would be that much less. As it is I will see very little difference. But I'm just glad I get a check

I'll take any increase that's offered.

Never thought I'd have to budget the way I do today......but it's made me so much more appreciative of the things I do have and realize that material things don't/can't make you happy. Things are things but it's the irreplaceable people and pets in my life that I'm grateful for.

Like my Dad used to say "Whatever you've accumulated throughout your life share it because you're not taking it with you".
