Default Surprised I finally see a Neuro!

I called my new Neuro's office today, told them I couldn't walk and that I was checking on the status of my appt.

She told me they had just gotten in and hadn't reviewed my chart yet and that it would be at least 2-3 months!! Are you kidding me??

I told them that I am getting worse and was unable to walk she still it was still 2-3 months.

I then suggested I be put on a cancellation list ( my idea)

Luckily she called me later today , I see him tomorrow!!

Scared...nervous.. having to do this all over again with no results.

Maybe now I will get some answers!

Cindy

I am soooo happy about this .

Maybe take your disability application forms with you to the neuro. I think that if they fill it out, or at least sign it, that sometimes Rev. Canada and extended health insurance carriers take it more seriously.

Breathe...

Trying to not get my hopes up this time.
I've been dealing with this for 10+ years.
He's a new neuro for me, hopefully his bedside manner is better than the others I've been too

Is he part of an MS Clinic?

Either way, I've found it really helps to get things off on the right foot to start the conversation with something like "I really need your help...".
It seems that a lot of doctors behave better, and really try to help if they get a little "ego stroke" right off the bat .

Wishing that you have a good experience and get some answers this time around .

Thanks Erika,

No he's not part of the MS Clinic, just a regular Neuro.
That's a great idea! I will try that.
I will be on my best behaviour
I'm normally very bubbly, happy but I've been soo tired of the runaround that its making me frustrated and sad.

But I feel good about this.

Thanks for your advice

Cindy
