Default Finally called my neuro

He is very worried about me. He wants me in his office asap or in the ER or Urgent Care center asap. I said no to ER and AC because of the hefty bill associated with it and I know what they'll do. Give me an IV, something for pain, a dose of IVSM and then send me home. I really don't need another 3000.000 ER bill right now. Im uninsured right now.

So, now it sits, if there is a cancellation Im there if not, my appt boosted up to July 24 instead of Sept. I have gotten worse. Could be another relapse, Idk. I fell the other day, got one big nasty bruise on my foot.

I fell again just trying to get into bed. I am slipping. The nurse from my neuro's office called and wanted to talk to me so as we were talking she says "sweet heart I cant understand you, can you put your dh back on please"

I was mortified. I left my dh a voice message the other day, and he's telling me he cant understand me so when I listened to that message, I cried. I couldn't even understand myself. It really hit home how down hill Im going.

My older dd and dh are pushing dmds like street pushers and my middle dd is saying whatever your comfortable with mama and my son is indifferent to everything. Even my one aunt I finally broke down and called started yelling at me. I don't need that.

Is there a strong enough Calgon to take me away from all this? Cuz, man, I NEED A VACATION AFTER ALL THIS PAIN, AGONY AND DEFINATE DRAMA!!!

Oh, my, KittyLady, I do so hope that you do get seen before July 24TH. If your doctor is worried about you why won't he squeeze you in?

Is there no place to go if you are uninsured in TN? No free clinic? Nothing?

I am worried with you and for you.

Be careful,
ANN

I agree with Ann, your Neuro should squeeze you in. In the
meantime, do you have anything to help you relax? You need
to keep your stress level down, while waiting for your appt.

Kitty-

I hope in some small way it helps to know we care about you and feel your pain. I pray you can get what you need and that this latest bout of carp passes fast, with no lingering effects. Life is hard and that just plain stinks.

I too wonder why you are not on Medicare, but I know there are sometimes reasons one can't get Medicare Disability payments (Social Security). If you didn't work, or didn't work long enough, or just haven't pushed to get the status from them because it's very hard, or whatever. I had to fight 3 years for Social Security disability. Having an MS diagnosis will not do the trick alone. You already know this. You have to prove you "can't work" regardless of dx. But if there is a possibility of applying, seems now is the time, when you are really down.
I'm so sorry you are struggling like this. So so sorry. Seems no one is paying sufficient attention.

I am on SSDI, and the rules are, that seeing as I have RRMS, there is a chance of recovery, so I have to be on SSDI for 2 years before I qualify for medicare. I applied for medicaide, and was denied because I have no children and am under the age of 65 and do not qualify for, ready for this one, MEDICARE! I qualify for medicare this February so its only a few more months. I can turn around and apply for medicaide. We move back to IN next April and will have everything transferred there. IN is much more of a giving state than TN. So, you see, its not from a lack of trying on my part, its from a lack of help from the state of TN or the plain old US government.

I went without insurance for 2 years, too, while waiting to be eligible Medicare. It's a long 2 years but thank goodness nothing catastrophic happened while I was waiting. Seems like once they agree you're disabled and you qualify for SSDI you should be able to qualify immediately for Medicare. Strange rules.

I believe I qualified for Medicare as soon as I got Social Security, and I was well under the normal Medicare age. But that was decades ago and I cannot be sure of that. Pretty sure though. Can it vary from state to state? At that time my husband was still working so we had a secondary from his work, with Medicare for me.
