Now neuro advises me I now also have fibromyalgia. Just great I tell him. Just when Im leaving him to move back home and find a new neuro. He tells me to take ibuprofen for the real bad pain I will get. I was like, are you serious? That stuff doesn't even touch my headaches. Oh boy, MS, Lehermittes (sp?), tremors, now fibro. Wonder what else my body would like to add on to its already painful self?

So sorry to hear of your "new" diagnosis, KL...
![]() You aren't by any chance on Avonex, are you? That's when mine reared it's ugly head years ago. Whether or not there was a connection, I don't know, but that's when it appeared. My thoughts are with you for some relief... ![]()

So sorry, Kitty Lady!
I wonder if Fibro is caused by spasms that get stuck? I had a chiropractor once who thought this, that it happened especially after a trauma such as an auto accident, in which tension held in the body became frozen. He did not think I had it. I had asked, because at that time I did have a lot of pain in the muscles. I have less pain now, of that kind (if you don't include jerks at night, itch that wakes me up, and erythromelalgia in the feet). My muscle pain is low. I think it may be because I live in a clean environment (not an environment I like, but clean) and because I work on inflammation as I can, mainly be eating organic cherry jam, and, of course, sticking to the Swank diet except for adding more eggs than is usual on the diet. I am not saying any of that would help fibro (which was not the source of my pain, according to doctors at that time). Cherries are good for inflammation but are hard to find most of the year, and organic cherry jam is my way of eating them. |

i finally went to a pain specialist. i have so many causes of pain that who cares what the source is? not totally true. it does make a difference.
but, they have been able to try different interventions and work with medications which my other drs were not.
