Default Bit of an update...

I had an appointment with the neuro today following on from a cervical spine MRI last week.

The MRI was normal.

But, massive difference this time to several months ago. My neuro has said that there is categorically something physical and neurological going on. Findings on examination and reflexes etc etc have shown without a doubt.

It might not sound like much, but after him telling me 13 years ago, and again several months ago, that it was all quite possibly "in my head" this is an ENORMOUS step forward for me. Finally it has been acknowledged that yes, there IS something wrong with me.

I am no closer to finding out what the something is, but I feel so much better knowing that he knows something is wrong and he wants to find the cause of it. I'm also getting second opinions and am awaiting an appointment with an MS specialist neuro (as I am still sure that that is what the problem is).

So there you go. I still don't know. But geez I feel better lol.

This is wonderful news - not that you have a problem, but that the problems you ARE having are being validated.

Big hugs and keep us posted

i'm glad your dr is acknowledging that something is amiss and is willing to look further. sometimes IF you have MS it can take awhile for lesions to show up.

do keep us posted and let us know how you are.
