I can't take NSAIDs like ibuprofen or Celebrex because I have ulcers. Most narcotic pain relievers stop me up like a cork. Lyrica made me gain 30 pounds in 30 days - never again!
So I was prescribed Nucynta, which is a synthetic drug that relieves pain like a narcotic and also functions somewhat as an antidepressant. The rx I have is for 50mg, but that hasn't really done it for me. I looked into it and that's a low dose, so I tried taking two. I do get some relief without any side effects to speak of, but it takes FOREVER to kick in. Like well over an hour on an empty stomach. That just seems wrong to me. Is anyone else on this? Do you have the same problem, or is it just me?

I'm not much help here as I have never tried Nucynta. I wanted to wish you luck and hope that someone will come along soon that has experiences with Nucynta that they can share with you.
