Fun times, with moving and the stress of all we need to do to our new (old) house, plus returning full time to work after being on medical leave & part time duties for 2 years, I hate to admit to myself that I'm not Wonder Woman, I am ill and have a disease that likes to poke it's ugly head in when things get tough.
Within the last 2 weeks, my neck (predominantly on the right side, but it does go all the way around) feels like I have a scarf wrapped around it. Not painful, very discomforting. If I put my hands on my neck, the feeling goes away. It's very much like when I had girdle-band sensation around my torso 6 years ago or more, only this time it's around the neck. I don't want to seek out medication to treat this - would rather avoid steroids. It's purely sensory so I'm going to just deal with it. If my vision becomes affected again though, that's when I'll be headed back to the ER and neuro. Oh MS, you're such a clown! ![]()

Hi,
I'm so sorry that you have that. It sounds awful. I have an invisible rubber band around my foot but that's nothing. I can't imagine how annoying it would be around my neck :/ I have constant squeezing around my waist too. I'm really looking forward to that going. I hope your neck band goes away soon! Have you tried visualising it "falling off on the floor" I find those sort of things help me when my waist is tightening up. Sing Let it Go and picture it falling off ![]() When all else fails "Pills are good....Pills are gooood" Quote from Dumb and Dumber ![]() |

Laura and Sheep-
Last time we were at my Mom's house I was sure there was a thread around my L great toe. Nothing there. DH2B offered to pretend to cut it off. His theory was that since he apologizes for things he is told he has done in my dreams, that maybe "cutting" the thread would work. It did not. Lasted over a week. ANN |

I have an invisible scarf around my left upper arm! Not quite rubber band, but definitive all the same.
Not a nice feeling - but better than chest/neck ones I have had previously.

![]() ![]() I still have it now. It did go away on a couple days, but the moment I get into a situation of conflict, stress, overworking myself.. the invisible scarf comes back! Yes, around the waist was my first run-in with this type of sensation, though now that others have mentioned it, I've felt similar sensations around my fingers and toes over the years. I guess the fact that this is around the neck and uncomfortable made me sit up and take notice. Ugh! ![]()
