Hi,
My name is raj. 2 months back I was diagnosed with optical neuritis in my left eye and i was given 5 doses of IV cortico steroids. The vision on the left eye was almost back to normal. An MRI showed 2 changes in the brain but the neurologists say that it is also inflammation and not related to MS. They also did several blood tests for virus, bacteria, TB or any other infection in the body and All the tests are negative. They found vitamin b12 deficiency an gave me a mega dose of 5 injections. 1Week after that I got ON on my right eye. The eye doctor told me that if it comes for 1 eye, there is always chance for it to come for another eye but I got it rather quickly. This time I was given 3 doses of IV and 6 weeks of oral prednisolone tappering from 60 mg to 10 mg. I am in my fifth week of my tablets and have these frequent headaches like tingling, pinching, something is flowing in my brain, pain on the forehead. They just come and go. Now I have pain in my right eye again while moving it. I am in a confused state on how to deal with it. I don't know why these headaches are coming and again pain in my left eye. Is it because of vitamin b12 deficiency or any other condition. Did anyone have such an experience of immediate ON on both the eyes and how to deal with it or what exactly it is ? Thanks and Regards, Raj |
