Here is a link about the various states' laws concerning returning medication:
http://www.ncsl.org/research/health/...recycling.aspx Biologicals and other drugs requiring refrigeration are typically excluded. As are controlled substances. But some charity groups do collect unused medication that are stable, to dispense in other countries where the laws are looser.
