Looking at the receipe, do you mean 1/2 cup sweetener....that would make it real sweet as I see it....I would not use splenda ever...I use stevia, small amounts...I'm getting rid of sweet tasting foods anyway.

Jomar - I think that recipe would keep anyone's colon clean and moving well. . That's a lot of prunes. I wrote the recipe down. I can't do my big grocery shopping for another couple of weeks but will try this out.

1/2 c. sweetner is because the cocoa is very bitter. you can adjust however you like, I have put mini chocolate chips in it, I guess you can put fruit in it but I haven't tried that yet. And use any sweetner you want.

DD23 is breastfeeding. She got some sort of cookies that help increase breast milk. She ordered them and has some storing in my refrigerator. I tried one and WOW! I not producing any milk , but it definitely helped with the constipation I have been dealing with lately. I found the company where she gets them delivered from and these are the basic ingredients. Of course, I don't know the exact amounts to put in them. Maybe one of the "cooks" on here can figure it out. The downside for me is that I have trouble with almonds. The are no chunks of almonds in them so maybe she grinds them up to almost a flour. I normally can't even tolerate almond milk, but I don't seem to be having the horrible cramping I usually get when I have almonds (milk, butter, whole, blanched, etc.).

peanut butter, butter, brown sugar, vanilla, salt, baking soda, brewers yeast, eggs, flax meal, oats, almonds

Has anyone tried Chia seed for constipation? It works amazing well for this and it can lessen hemmoroids over time with consistent use. I make a gel with the seeds and add it to drinks and foods. My mother who had PD mixed Chia into her yogurt.
