Ewwwwe, FG, yuck. I'm glad they stopped up the hole, but ouch. I've never had an LP and I'm perfectly okay with that.

I'm a little bit wigged out, my baby sister turned 40 yesterday and it doesn't seem possible. It's her fault I got old.

It's an ideal weather day here and I am severely lacking ambition. Just errands, but it seems like more than I want to do. I think the getting dressed part is what's holding me back.

Hi Everyone! I am just wonderful today! I am sitting in a room at the Hampton in Indiana! I just came up from a free complimentary hot breakfast..yummy..and decided to check in here. My hubby is at work...he is here on business,( we live north of Toronto Ontario) and I am here to relax and play on the pool and hottub. He has the car so later he will take me out shopping again! I look at it as a spiritual retreat for me. Relax....no housework....no nasty boss....just peace and serenity!

Your'e such a tease, Dorrie! I wanna lay by the pool w/you and relax. I'll be there in a few hrs, so order me up a lil umbrella drink. *make it a double*
Enjoy your much deserved "break".

FG!!! Double yucko! Hope you are feeling better today. I am sad that so many of our buds here are having the "ickies". I know how much you hate to lie around, but you have to do as the Dr and DM ordered....

Judy: that's what we are ALL here for... to be a sounding board for each other and to lend support... I am always ready to listen.....

Sally and Taffy.... keep cool.... It's been perfect weather these past few days, but sounds like our hot, sticky temps will be coming for another round soon.... bleah!

Oh AMN??? *rapping on the side of her head* Are you listening to me????? Forgot to tell you why your Casey's coffee tasted so good.... I stuck my finger in it.. ha hahahahaha

Now, she's asking herself... Did she or didn't she???? Do ya feel lucky????

Have a good one all.

I'm with you today AMN on the getting dressed part. Think I will skip it again! Too hard .... and it's supposed to be 104 today! Ick....where's the pool! Taffy sent her hot weather this way! (Although I think she is still having hot weather over there!)

Still just a little sore from yesterday but man do I feel better! It feels like heaven being able to sit up without a headache! WOOHOO! Life is good!

The anesthesiologist that did the blood patch was so funny, and a big guy, too! He wasn't sure if he could find the hole where the LP was done. Once I turned over and curled up he roared. Hmmm must be where this bruise with this tiny hole in the middle? Maybe I should look some more? I was the only patient in the pre-op area and I think he was bored...LOL!

(Shhh - don't let Taffy see this next part, she'll faint)
His assistant used a harpoon (14 gauge needle) to draw the blood from my arm for the patch. I told her she didn't even need to know where the vein was, close was good with a needle that big! Sort of like horseshoes and grenades - close is good enough! I told her I have tiny veins and that needle was probably bigger than my vein.

Just glad it's over and my headache is gone. Those two were great! They kept reminding me not to take any aspirin and I kept reminding them it's on my wristband that I am allergic to it. I didn't want to come back and see them!

On the upside, I am feeling better. I think the IVSM is kicking in. I can feel my right foot today! Yeah!

I am feeling better today. I just got a phone call all the way from "Toad Hollow!" Cheered me right up!

That bouncy voice on the other end of the phone was just what the doctor ordered!! And that passing "hey flygirl" from Denny was great!

Can you feel me smiling! Thanks DM!

Cheryl, I'm so glad you're feeling better!!!! And the steroids kicking in too, it does seem better at least for awhile after the withdrawal passes.

I've just got to ask -- are you really a pilot? There's a small airport close to my house where they have a skydiving club. It looks really cool, but I wouldn't be in the plane to start with. I know.....chicken is laying an egg!!

Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse.....Last night when I finally tried to go to bed, 4:30 am, I always have to pick up my old, best friend dog to put her on the bed. My left leg is anchored against the bed, wait for the spasticity to stop, then lift her up. Well something happened with my balance, got her on the bed okay, but I ended up on the floor. Tried everything imaginable to get back up but nothing worked.

Had my Life Alert on so pushed the button -- EMERGENCY, EMERGENCY, WOO HOO, WOO HOO. Only trouble, when I disconnected the trial caller ID, I also disconnected the send on the Life Alert. Duh!!! Pushed and pushed that button and nobody came until my cleaning lady at 2:30 pm. She thought I was still sleeping so to get her attention I pushed the EMERGENCY, EMERGENCY button and scared the carp out of her! She came running in the bedroom. Of course my bottom half just keeps spasming, the fibro makes it feel like I'm kneeling on broken glass even tho it's carpet, and she's smaller than me. Sooo plan B. The two maintenance guys were outside trimming the shrubs, etc. so had to swallow my pride and ask them for help. After a couple attempts, they just picked me up and sat me on the bed.

Of course it always happens on a day when I have no makeup on, hair's a mess........like they really cared, but I did.

They were my heroes for the day. Still kind of shakey and really sore butt and hips from lying on the floor all that time. "I've fallen and the stupid Life Alert didn't work!!"

Seems like I should give them a small gift of some kind for going above and beyond...... Any suggestions?

Tomorrow HAS to be better!!! My son and his family might be coming for a visit. Hope so! Have a nice weekend everyone.
