I hear you too, Cindy. What a rotten developement.. This disease is just so @%*%*@ CRUEL!! I'm so sorry my Friend.

I don't think my Prozac is working very well or maybe it's the crappy heat, but I'm just not a happy camper lately. I have always been good at fending this crap off, but my defenses are down.

Enough of my whining. Maybe I'd feel better if we dressed EM in a racoon coat and woolen socks and then let him go south to fish with no bait or hooks.

I don't want you Peeps, who are doing well, to think that I am not happy as a lark for you, because I am and mean that. Nothing hurts me more than to hear when you youngsters are succumbing to the wretched disease. ...Youngsters=50s, 40s, 30s & 20s..

I use the word Peeps as my friend from England does. met Kate on BrainTalk. She used to live in Egypt and was married to an Egyptian. Some of you may remember her as BubblePerson. Has anyone seen her lately?

Ok, I'm rambling now so 'll sign off..

So sorry to hear you are struggling for another day. I'm 99.99999% sure it is the wretched heat and humidity.

I lived in OH for 40 years and remember how it sucked the life out of me. I never had a/c until I got out here, except for the car.

Now with it, I know I couldn't survive without a/c. You pup is uncomfortable too. My families pups eat very little, except treats in the summer back there. Just keep his/her water cold and ice cubes. I used to make beef broth cubes for ours. If felt they'd appeciate the taste.

I second bringing EM out. I'm sure he is not suffering like he should be. Oh, EM, come out come out where ever you are. We have a special treat for you.

There that should bring him out of hiding. Take it easy and stay cool .

Well, I am plumb tuckered out now and I haven't even finished my cooking. I did manage to get a lot into the freezer which is good. Tomorrow it's multiple meat loaves and my work here is done. I'm so glad I'm not a mom, I think I'd trip a lot (over the unfed corpses).

I'm not sure what came over me except that I needed to do something and the things I need to do are out there in the wicked, evil, heat.

The early corn is up so I plan on making at least 40 meals of that good stuff!

Sorry, this is even boring me!

I met an old friend today! A real old friend! Thought I was gonna cry.

I drive to a Costco, half hour away from me and as I pull in, there is this little white and yellow trailer.

Wow! That looks just like the trailer we had when I was a kid. I park and get out and walk past the lady sitting in the truck hooked to the trailer and start eying it over. Same color...my dad had painted it this God awful yellow stripes to match his truck. Same windows, same dents, same duct tape marks! It was my beloved friend! The lady is looking out her window wondering what in the blazes is going on. My DH explains and the lady gets out and says "No way, that is cool!" I tell her what the insides look like and she is amazed! Tell her a few of my camping stories (like why I ending up sleeping in the closet ) and the history of the trailer. I find that the trailer is now loved by a family with two little girls that love the beach!

The lady probably thinks I am weird for I hugged my old friend good-bye with tears in eye.

Ah! Good times! Good times!

I'm back. It was great. I'm in lust. Couldn't find the car when we went to leave. When we finally did, we couldn't actually move, so we were entertained by the ginormous rednecks in the truck next to us doing karaoke. I've never seen such a spectacle.

AMN and Sally, sorry for your general feeling of suckiness. Give it some time. It's hotter than hades right now and that's enough to suck everything out of you and make you cranky. Here's to some cooler weather...

Good news...that is, if the A-hole weatherpeeps are right. . Today and tomorrow will be HOT!, but by tuesday through the week we will be back in the mid 80s during the day and 50s at night. They're not promising low humidity, but I can hope can't I?

Let's all bow our heads in prayer, that cooler, dryer weather prevails for us all.

If we get cooler, nicer weather, I may even let EM don his Speedo....let's see if cindy can come up with that horrific image..LOL

I hope all of you are making it through OK or, even better, I hope you are all out partying and don't have time to read this..

Got my fingers crossed that your cooler temps are quickly approaching.
I'm glad that a hint of cooler temps has lifted your spirits, I was worried about you over there.

I'm wishing I was out doing something interesting. I skipped my MS group this morning, and am feeling guilty. It's only once a month, but I didn't want to make the drive,30min one way. Lazy yes Plus the car is so hot from sitting in the sun all week.

I'm also pondering, going to throw in a dart tournament. I'm pretty sure, I won't make it to the money but get in some good practice. Although it will only be about 97 today, a bar full of peeps and no a/c is not very appealing. I can feel my life force oozing away already.

I should go back to sleep . I was awake til 5:15 am and up 5 hrs later, SO keeps that room so cold. I wake up shivering. I'll probably do nothing, since I am quite accomplished at that.

Oh, Beth, go throw! You'll have a good time. I remember my days of routine bar visits, a friend and I enjoyed robbing others at pool and shuffleboard. We actually tried to do the "we're not so good at this" thing and it worked some of the time. Unfortunately, we got a bit of a rep in those parts and no one would play us! LOL, those were the days, if only I could remember more about them!

Gret, cool that you had such a good time! Your truck buddies were probably worth the ticket price alone!

Today the weather is so agreeable, I just might get dressed! It's one of those days to get some things done around here and my head and bod seem like they might just be in synch. We'll see.

I've been more indecisive lately than ever in my entire life. I can't seem to get myself to lock down on anything anymore. Oy, for a decision that leads to action, my kingdom!
