:Bawling: Ouch! That hurt!

AfterMyNap 08-02-2007 07:47 PM

LOL, you kids have been a litte wild!

*stepping over Taffy to snag one of those brownies*

Well, now I've gone and done it. I dumped my Nextel today and went over to the light side with Alltel. Now, that had been the plan, but not the freakin' MotoRazor I left with in my hot little hands! That puppy, along with the termination fee that I have to eat will cut a week off my adventures! But, it's REALLY COOL!:o And, I have no idea how to work it! LOL!!

My sister will take her hyper children home tomorrow and that will allow me to sit down and learn both these new phones and the Alltel layout. I'm surprised at how different they are!

LOL, colors? It has many, but the phone is black. It has about 8 million ring tones, and I don't think it even has a normal sounding one! LOL, it does have the old bell ringer, so that's what it's on for now. I can't concentrate, my sister won't leave me alone!

*smacking Faffy's filthy paws* hands off, I just got the stupid thing figured out!

I think Flygirl has snuck off to Portland again just to go to the Pendleton store. Hm. Yep, that's it, she needs some snazzy Christmas plaid trousers and a couple of those sharp suit sweaters. Has to be it. yep.

LOL!! I'm Pensive today. I'm not sure what I mean by that, but i just woke up today with a bunch of questions in my mind and no answers.

I'm still kinda happy though 'cause my SSon is Home.:)

I'm more than upset about the Bridge Collapse in Minn., too.:(

And the World keeps turning.

Sally so glad you are happy as am I that SSon (aka grizzly adams) is home. :Dancing-Chilli: I hope you find answers to some of your pending questions.

What happened in Minnesota is such a horrible tragedy. And so scary that there are many bridges and other necessary infastructures, in this country, are at the end of there lifespan. We (Americans) all should bombard our political leaders to take the lead and finance a mandatory rebuilding effort. Or that may be the first of a long line of needless deaths.

Wow, just really bummed myself out. I apologize for that outburst. I will try and control myself better...not. As popeye says I am what I am.

Don't get me started on that bunch of Pork Barrel Idiots in Washington..

AfterMyNap 08-03-2007 08:01 PM

Hi, everyone, even you, my pensive bleeding heart!

I slept almost all day! Not my fault, my new phone kept me up til 3:00am and then it woke me up at 5:30 to see my sister off on her way home from a week here. Okay, yeah, I made her a cup of strong coffee, put the kids in plastic bags, and shoved them all out the door; whatever!

It's so quiet here, my dad can hear me drop! Ah, peace in the valley.

I've noticed some of our posse is conspicuously absent. I hope everyone is okay! DM is off in the municipal wilderness ("camping") and Chris is on hiatus for healing, but I'm clueless about what Flygirl is up to.

Oh, for anyone following KimmyDawn's new grandbaby, he is here! And it is well! Thank God. Do go check out her prayer thread in the sanctuary, it's practically a miracle.:grouphug:

SallyC 08-04-2007 11:47 AM

Thanks for telling us about KD's new Grandson. I know how worried she was about the pending birth...so happy that all turned out well and Baby and Mom are fine.

How is your new toy working foryou, Cindy? Is it doing what you command or does it have a mind of it's own?:D

I'm a wittle under par today. Damn Sinus headache, damn weather, damn heat.....UGH!!!!! OK, I'm done.....for now..:D

How are you all doing today, my fiesty little fiends.. errr.. friends.

AfterMyNap 08-04-2007 02:44 PM

Bummer, Sal. You must rest up, tomorrow is grandkids day, and you need to be full of your usual vim and vigor... and valium...

The new toy is actually quite excellent, thank you. It has many amusing attributes that I will never likely employ, but alas, it makes me think that I'm cool, so it has its medicinal value.

Today, I was dinking around with it, trying to figure something out, when it began ringing. "Oh, man, now what did I do?"... uh... duh... it was a call coming in. LOL, I felt extra stupid for a nano-second.

It was FG and she's fine, just super busy and her steroids have kicked in, so hopefully, she is well on her way to snapping out of this exacerbation.

tovaxin_lab_rat 08-04-2007 03:02 PM

Hey Cindy! Thanks for the kick in the bee-hind! I've been MIA for a few days, although I didn't post a few times on another thread helping Bethanylynn with some accurate information about Tysabri and backing up Cherie (whodathunkthat! LOL! :D ).

You know how life just gets in the way sometimes and, well...that's just sort of what's been happening to me lately. I've been prioritizing and work is my priority right now ---> wonder if I have that backwards! But I have to focus on something that I enjoy and that's what I enjoy ;)

Steroids did kick in and I am feeling much better. The LP did confirm that I was having an MS exacerbation as my myelin basic protein was sky high!

Anyway, on the road back from MS you-know-where, but at least I am able to work again. We did a great landscape job yesterday. My crew is wonderful. Have another one scheduled for Tuesday! And a meeting with a client Monday afternoon to find out when we can start her job, which will be a 2 week job! That one will be lots of fun! Can't wait to start that one! This one on Tuesday, none of us are looking forward to...oh well...it'll be good when it's over!

I hope everyone else is doing good! Congrats to KD and the new grandbaby!

;)

dorrie 08-04-2007 03:06 PM

I am relaxed and happy today.....strange but true!!:D

 Sally I'm sorry you're feeling crummy today. I know the struggles of OH humidity all to well. Feels like that out here and that is just wrong.

Take er easy today, you're entitled. On the bright side :) , it's not a MS thing. Feel better soon.

Taffy 08-04-2007 06:38 PM

Just remember FG, I know you like your work, but please don't over do it!
(Taffy shaking finger at FG...) Now get out there and make Idaho beautiful!

Hooooooo Raaaaaaaaah, FG. Way to go girl. I'm so glad you are back to feeling well enough to do what you love to do.:Excited:

You must show us pics of some of your finished products. I'd love to see them. Maybe a few before and after photos?

AfterMyNap 08-05-2007 12:10 PM

Well, I must say, I am quite pleased with our rainy, cool day here. It has been what seems like forever since a good rain came through these parts. The critters seem happier too, so it's a swell day in MI.

I'm going to take my bionic leg for a stroll today. Maybe a nap first, then a walk (fumble, stumble, thump, drag).

LOL, wrong forum!

It is better than that, but I'm still learning with it. He wants me to correct my posture that I had adjusted over time to compensate for the flinging-my-leg-via-the-hip thing. It's actually kind of hard to undo those old habits. I'll get it right eventually!

Glad you are having some nice weather. It's actually a bit cooler here today, but I've decided to stay inside today and finish a book I've been reading.

I worked too hard on Friday and need to take a down day, so I am doing that!

Sally, I will post some pictures.

AMN - sent you a PM! LOL! :D

DM's back from her urban oasis she loosely calls "camping". But, her little feely-thingie still says she's sad. I hope it's just an oversight!

greta 08-05-2007 06:32 PM

I'm cranky. Let me tell you why.

I've been on three airplanes since Wed. I've had no more than 5 hours of sleep each night since last tues night. I had to attend a conference for work, which started today - Sunday (after arriving home at 1130 pm last night from the airport), and have to attend said conference for the next 2 days. I have a project due tomorrow morning with no exceptions. Who schedules work conferences for Sunday?!

What's my plan? I'm going to bed and will get up at 3 am to try to finish my project before heading to the idiot conference at 8 am. I hate my job.

AfterMyNap 08-05-2007 06:37 PM

Holy cow, Gret! Are they trying to kill you? Get some sleep girl, 3:00am will get here fast.

How's Jim?
