I dunno, Cindy, but I can't think of anything pleasing about the smell of a ....SKUNK!!!.....But, to each his own, I always say..

*making note to pick Taff up on way to campground Fri.* No roughing it w/DM tho. Bring chocolate and your'e in!!!

We've been going every Thurs ~Sun most of the summer... woohoo! Love those campfires. Even when it's 90 degrees, I must have an evening fire.

Me is excited too, Dorrie.

I might just go get a campsite for a day and come home at bedtime, I seriously want a fire now! The condos here are soooo picky, they won't let me have a firepit in the yard and they have some annoying rule against putting my tent out there. They won't even turn the sprinklers off for me!

Hey Cin - come to Idaho. Over a million acres of land here is on fire. The whole state smells like a campfire. Just come visit me for a couple of days!

You can set up your tent in my backyard and I will turn off the sprinklers! In fact, I have 4 acres of trees...pick a couple to camp under! We've got some foxes out there, and there are even 4 bucks that have been sleeping out there at night!

WHY the nerve of those homeowners!!!!

The best time is the Fall. Nothing like a sweatshirt, campfire and turning leaves....

Hey Cheryl!! Yikes, I heard about those fires..... Holy Cow...

Hey AMN... we should go camping at FG's!! Can Kevin and Dwayne come too? I know they are your TH beau's...

I get to go camping! Oh boy! Get this....I drop the hikers going on a 50 miler backpack trip off out in the boonies! We will camp the night before. I will fix dinner for 24 people at a WATERLESS camp. How fun. To get to this camp spot, you must drive 135 miles and the last 6 miles will be a fun rocky one lane road to the camp and trail head.

After breakfast, I wave so long and sit and read a book! I will spend the night and most of the next day there by myself in case someone needs to come out. It is the first day of these trips that are the hardest. After that they just need to suck it up and keep walking.

The only thing is...there was bear doo-doo a couple of weeks ago when we checked this camp out as I was getting out of the truck.

Don't bears go for the sick, weak, and limpy kind?

So I will stay away from the cliff, not wander off,... maybe I just better read that book in the truck this trip!

Taffy, that Bear Poop reminded me of a joke.........

In Canada, bears are attacking more humans than normal. So this is how the British Columbia Fish and Wildlife Branch is advising people to stay safe.

1. We advise the outdoorsman to wear NOISY LITTLE BELLS on clothing, so as to give advanced warning to any bears that might be close by so you don't surprise them.

2. We advise anyone in the out doors to carry "Pepper Spray" with him or her in case of an encounter with a bear.

3. Outdoorsmen and Outdoorswomen should be on the watch for fresh bear activity and to be able to tell the difference between black bear *poop and grizzly bear poop.

4. Black bear poop is smaller than grizzly bear poop and contains lots of berries and squirrel fur.

5. Grizzly Bear poop has noisy little bells in it and smells a lot like pepper.

Bring everyone!

Only on one condition -- they have to be able to cook their own food and keep their tent clean! Can they make coffee???? Oh yeah, and Holly likes to visit tents!

I am doing good today...just so tired. Geez, I don't think I am ever going to beat this fatigue. It's got to be all this smoke in the air.
