Okay, the latest installment on this. I saw my neuro today (sadly, it seems I still have MS) and the gals told me that they had filled out the request form to be notified in the event of this situation.

So, in some convoluted way, this was a legitimately authorized communication. I am still unhappy about it but there is little recourse.

For the record, my neuro is totally cool with it, and though I sensed that she didn't want to say it in so many words, I believe that we are in total agreement. She resisted full agreement with me that the decline was caused specifically by the C, but admits that it probably isn't doing me any good.

She has made her final decision now, I am officially SPMS. Oh well, I suppose I'll have to go have all my monogrammed towels changed now.

Tomorrow I'm going to meet an old friend from high school for the first time in *choke* 27 years. She found me out of the blue and I'm really excited to see her. I'm sad that she'll see me this way, but at least she knew me when I was an athlete and a musician, so there are still some witnesses out there.
