According to this WebMD article, steroids to treat MS flares should be started within 14 days after symptoms begin, and so it probably isn't too late.
IV Steroids for MS Flare-Up Treatment: Effectiveness and Side Effects Your doctor should be able to guide you in this. There may be reasons why steroids should or should not be used this time. I hope you have a competent doctor.
