I can wear nothing but slippers - have fleece lined suede slippers - I cannot walk - am in wheelchair - the ones that work are now about 7 years old - dog drool and all - am just looking for a shoe or slipper without any tread on the bottom - I need to be able to slide feet or my husband needs to - 77 years old - MS now for 47 years

For years I wore Isotoners. They have either a rubber sole that is more of a sure-grip sole or a suede sole that has no treads. I had some recent experience with a pair of Isotoners that leads me to think the product isn't what it once was but I might have just had bad luck. It was recommended years ago in a newsletter for people with MS--and I tried them and liked them. They're machine washable too.

You can't exactly slip in and out of them though because they have elastic all around.

If you want something you don't have to reach down to put on, maybe scuffs with an "almost-heel"? I think they're called clogs--and most of them do have a corrugated or sure-grip sole but some have a smoother sole.

I've used them, and they don't grip your heel but you can slip in and out of them easily.

thanks agate - will look at them - my feet swell with lipedema thanks to sitting in wheelchair for 6 years now - looked at some moccasins online too - very similar to my beaten up slippers - the other problem is absolutely no control or instep on right foot so it just rolls itself out of slippers and shoes - isn't MS fun

I've heard of compression socks for lympedema but understand that they should be individually prescribed under the supervision of a physical therapist. If you haven't tried this, it might be worth looking into.

have done this and have been wearing Juzo leg wraps for 3 or 4 years now - before I could not even get my stretched out slippers on my feet - I think 2 months of going in to have legs rewrapped and she suggested I try one of the machines that compress rest of leg - the guy came once - leg things too short - left them here and never returned - - - - --

Might be worth another try, maybe with a different provider? Sounds as if somebody let you down here.
