Hi everyone, yesterday was a big driving day, the distance wasn't so bad, it was the crossing of some serioius elevations. So, what we have today is all roofcam and motocam shots. They may disclose my bug collection, apologies.:o
The one highway pic is the road I'd come to see. I had heard about it but had never ventured out beyond the ski areas. The canyon walls are so steep that it was easier to elevate the expressway than to clear a pass. It's really cool to drive it. |
Stick your head out of the sun roof and take some pics, just keep your mouth closed. You can steer w/your knees....
Oh and duck in the tunnels.....:D *crackin self up* |

Or Cruise Control? Set it and learn over in the back for a diet coke? She's scary  Nice Pics Cindy! |
I missed your bug collection but wow what a road through that pass. Looks lonely out there. I'd be sooo chicken to drive alone out there.
Our own Charles Kuralt! Are you going to write a book about your ventures? Happy you are having such a good time. It's fun to travel with you...sorta..LOL! My keyboard is replaced and I did it myself!! My Sson was supposed to do it but I got tired of waiting, so I took the bull by the horns and DID IT! Guess what??? IT WORKS! YaaaaaaaHoooooo!!! I think I'm becoming a geek.  |

Hi, I spent the day with my friend, Judy, a.k.a. NurseNancy in the cyber MS community.
Neither of us had an overwhelming amount of energy today so we took it easy and just enjoyed one another's company. It was cold and rainy and seemed like a good day to lie low. I'm quite fond of that little person. Tomorrow I'll be up in Longmont with my oldest friend and then be moving toward beautiful, scenic NE. woo hoo. |
Well, I'm a little behind here, sorry. Let me see, from Denver, I went and spent an evening with my oldest friend to wish her a happy birthday CO style. Then, I had a hankering to see my newer, but highly treasured friend in Cheap Ripple, MO.
Then it was hard in so many ways, but I finally pointed the car toward home and landed back in Toad Hollow, IL to enjoy a campfire and too much beer with a little DM and her camping posse. Today is the dreaded blast home. I'll be there by evening and I genuinely don't want to end this trip, but know in my body that it is time. It sure has been a doozy and I thank you all for kind of riding along with me.:) |
Thank YOU! It's been a blast.
|
Thank you Cindy for sharing you vacation with us. You rest up now! Um..unload the car and wash your clothes first, then rest!
Wait, what is that on your pants? Slug poo? Oh, that stuff is hard to get off! |
Happy trails home, Cindy. Don't listen to Taffy, just toss the dirty duds and get new ones..:p
Lots of rest and then back to the old MS board grind.:D You have made bunches of new memories for your book. Thanks for letting my feeble mind tag along. I really enjoyed it.:) |

No way, no how, am I gonna be wearing any of these clothes for a good long while. I'M SICK UP AND FED WITH 'EM!! I wanna wear something different for a change! I got in a bit ago and found my dad waiting for me in the dark, on the front porch. I think he's glad I'm back. The freezer must be empty.;) |
Thanks for letting us know that you are home safe and sound!
Your dad...he missed ya! p.s. I am glad that everything got sorted out and all is well! (It is ok CBK...you can rest now too!) |
Glad you make it home safe and sound, and that you had a nice visit with FFM and DM.
Have a nice rest. ;) |

Haven't been dressed once yet and I'm so okay with that.:o There was plenty of mail, local callers, visitors, etc. to keep me amused. It will take me awhile, I think. I can barely type and it's making me nuts. Think I'll go take another nap.:Zzzz: |

Oh yeah...isn't it great to be home and have that "you ran into a concrete wall" feeling! |
