Every time you, Cindy and Kay talk about fly fishing, I am reminded of the movie, directed be Robt Redford, "A River Runs Through It" and the Naration below.......

Older Norman McClean: [narrating in "A River Runs Through It]

Like many fly fishermen in western Montana where the summer days are almost Arctic in length, I often do not start fishing until the cool of the evening. Then in the Arctic half-light of the canyon, all existance fades to a being of my soul and memories and the sounds of the Big Blackfoot River and a four-count rhythm and the hope that a fish will rise.

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.

On some of those rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs......... I am haunted by waters.

Mornin' all, I'm trying to get the remainder of my one cup of coffee to recycle and then I'm off to the river. I sure hope it doesn't rain, I can handle the 50° day, but the rain makes it seem ten times colder!

It rained heavily all day yesterday, and that could ruin the fishing. Hopefully, my guide will have some secret tips for me. This is my last shot at MT trout and I really want to land a couple.

I'm pretty excited to be on the river because this is also whereabouts Lewis & Clark rejoined the river after a winter of portaging the mountains.

I hope I can do this!

Cindy
Fingers crossed for the fishing today, no rain and lots of fishies. How cool to fish at a historic site. Take care.

Well, I had a regular blast today! It was perfect weather, cool and sunny and no wind! I couldn't believe it. Just as I pulled into my hotel, a few drops of rain fell here and there.

I caught a bunch of fish and it was just beautiful on the river all day. I found out that my hand cannot keep a steady rod with a decent fish on, so I did loose the biggest ones, but it was fun fighting them while I had them on. My guide, Pat was fantastic and helped me so much, it was just great. Here, one of our spots, my little brown trout, and some eagles, 2 golden, one bald (on right):

Well how do you all do.........

I see Mizz Cin is keeping ya'll abreast of her travels.......

(I just thought I would let you all in on a secret....after she left DM in Toad Hallow she went home....all the pics she is posting are from MY vacation trip out west lol.....I shared all my pics with her and she stole them now I have none to post....huh that will teach me to leave my truths in the hands of a dreamer I suppose.......)

Well I guess you all can see how wonderful MY trip out west has been....althought I was only gone 9 days...she is streatching it all out to make you all think its taking her much longer. She is really sitting at home in her glass house all propped up on her laptop timming this tale all out to keep you all waiting and begging for more.....

Shes just not all together right youn's know that dont yas?oh well she seems so happy so I guess I will just let her keep living out this lil fairy tale of hers.....

Keep enjoying my pictures gang!!!!

BTW: dont tell her I told yas okay....I dont wanna make her cry it will short out her mac......
(althought the tears might help to clean off the diet pepsi splatters on the screen)
