My daughter and her husband had a church leadership retreat Thursday through Saturday eve so I just 'had' to go take care of my granddaughter. She is five now and I got the pleasure of taking her to kindergarten. Her Mommy is pregnant and due in November so I don't know how I will do next year at the same event. I'm just not sure if I can take care of a six year old, a nearly one year old and a big dog that has to go out frequently. They don't have a fence so she has to be on a leash all the time.

But it was wonderful snuggling up to my granddaughter and reading books. We made Christmas presents for everyone. I still need to help her make something for her new baby sister. I think I have memorized every Madeline book thye have written!
