Sally, I'm so sorry your DD was such a bone head. It seems family is the best and the worst thing in the world. I know as happy as I was to have my family around me for the holiday, I was so happy to get home to my quiet couch. So was my Dad.

Enjoy your leftovers today. BTW the Amish pies were yucky. Commercially made, more filling then fruit, and pretty tasteless. What a waste of $9-10 each. No, more!

I'm looking forward to leftovers as much as yesterday. I'm sure I won't want anymore tomorrow, so I better eat up today.

Thanks for your thoughts, Beth and I know what you mean about....glad it's over. I always am to. .

My thoughts are, that even if you don't especially want to do something...you still want to be wanted and asked...KWIM?

Sheesh, sorry about the pies!! I've always found Krogers Homemade pies to be the best. I always get apple, pecan and pumpkin. I hope my DD got Apple ( my fav) or pecan...yummmm. I'm not crazy about pumpkin but it's traditional..

I'm glad you made it to your couch...Me Too!!

Here's our family funny pie story. My sis who had dinner at her house, realized Thanksgiving morning, she hadn't made the pumpkin pie. While she was showering, her DH was to mix the pie ingredients and put in the pie shell for later baking. He was to half the recipe since she only had one crust. Ok, flash to last night, everyone was sent home with pie because it was too hot to eat before we left. Later, our niece over and was gaven a slice of pie. She made a face, but ate the pie anyway. After she left my sister tasted it and realized DH had used Tablespoon instead of teaspoon for the salt. Needless to say everyone had to toss the pie. Her overweight beagle got it the trash and ate the pie.

Sal - I'd rather be invited and decline, then to be left out of the decision making too.
