Hi Judy
Welcome back. Hope this means you are feeling better. Sorry to hear you're missing your pup something terrible still. It sure takes time. Here's a hug

Jappy thanks for the chocolate. I hope it's got no cholesterol. Mine is pretty high still, and I've been so good eating veggies and fruits for the past month.

Hi Buddies:

The dr. wants me to have occupational theraphy. I have had
PT before, but the pain has gotten worse instead of better as I have told
you.
What is the difference except for the name? I couldn't stand
PT. When I left PT they gave me a chart of excercises and told me what
to do with Heat/Cold.
Have been doing the excercises when able. Sometimes these
PT's think that every excercise they teach people works for everyone.
You tell them your ms is not letting you do something and it goes
in one ear and out the other. I know it does help when you are able. But
they seem not to understand you can't everyday.
I don't know if I am going to go. I think the dr. just gave me
a scrip because he didn't know whatelse to do. He upped the med. when
I need it.
Tomorrow I go to Deborah Hosp. to have my usual checkup
for the COPD. Will be having about 3 tests for the lungs.
I am one big mess.

I am going to stop because I could go on and on. There are
other health issues and everyone of you have your own problems.

Hi Jappy
Sounds like you've got alot going on. OT, occupational therapy is to help do day to day things like eat, dress yourself. It's ways to do your everyday tasks in a safe way that works for you. At least that's my understanding of it. I'm sure our knowledge filled friends will be along shortly too.

I've often wondered if it would help me, as my hands are such pains literally and figuratively. Let me know how it goes.

Hi all, checking in. Jappy, I am totally in tune with all that you're saying. My days are becoming exceptionally unpleasant lately. I have the balance of a one-legged toddler and my newest trick is falling backwards. That is the scariest development, it's such a helpless feeling! I'm flopping around like a fish out of water every time I try to move. I've sooooo had enough of this freakin' disease!

DM is feeling poopy lately, she now has the popular upper respiratory thing going on. Man, it seems like almost everyone has had that thing this year. Chrappy still has it, FG had it, ugh.

Spring is taking its own sweet time here in west MI, it's cold but sunny, so I'm at least glad for that.

Corny, you taking care of that ankle?

SallyC 03-20-2008 12:17 PM

Spring has sprung
The grass has rizz
I wonder where
The flowers izz! :p

Yes, Cindy, thanks for inquiring. Bummer about your tumbling. Please do you best to land softly.

I'm wearing my cast like contraption and it has caused me a pulled muscle in that calf. Ouch, it's hurting to walk. I think the problem is my other leg is shorter now. I've got to find a better solution then my crocs. I walk even more weeble like now. :D

The sun is out here, and melted our snow. It must be spring ... finally! Now if all the swamp water  would recede from the yard, that would be awesome.
