Hi everyone:

Just got on my computer. My daughter has a friend who knows computers like the back of his hand as they say a Computer Geek.

He worked on the computer for 4 hrs. What ever got in my computer it had knock me out as Administrator of the computer and had me
as a Temp. Everything I would do on that certain day would be wiped out when I shut down for the night. The computer was in charge. I was the alien
so my stuff was the virus and it was cleaning up.:eek:

It is a little scary when the machines take over. I think there was a
movie made that the computers were taking over the world.

I hope that nothing else happens. It has me a little on edge. Worrying
what's next.

I am going to say Hi to Judy. I was reading her post and I see that she
was an oldie and got stunned by the mass exodus we had.

All take care and hopefully I won't have any problems tomorrow to
get on line. Will talk more. Very tired after today.
GOOD-NIGHT

Jappy

Good to be back and hi to both old and new friends!!

Hi Judy :Wave-Hello:

I joined in Oct. 07 I don't remember reading any posts from you.
So I figured I would reintroduce myself. I am Joyce but Sal gave me a
nickname that I have been using it is JAPPY I love it.

Hope to talk with you. I know what you mean when you came
back to the site about the mass exodus. I was lost when I came back on the
next day. I thought I lost all the friends that I made and didn't understand
what was happening. I still get lost trying to find everyone.

But with this thread I know that I am in touch with everyone that
I first got to know.

Welcome back Judy!

Judy2 02-05-2008 07:31 AM

Thanks for the welcome back all you "olbies". I'll have to get acquainted with all the newbies now. Welcome to all from me -- even if it is a little late! I'm going to try and read all the intros so you won't be strangers anymore....it might take a few days to catch up.

Glad to hear from some "old", not really, friends. Take care and I'll be around! :)

Cindy that picture says it all. That is just how I felted.:crazy:
Everything is working so far. I hope that never happens again. He put
another Anti-virus protection in my computer. Watching him work on the computer was amazing. I couldn't believe what you can do with a computer.
I said I was a novice to it, now I really feel like a :Doh: head.

On a brighter side with my MS I am glad to say that my symptoms have eased up. The pain and fatigue was the worst I have had in a long time.

Hoping today is a good one for everyone.

Jappy

P.S. Sage is doing great.
she goes Thursday for

Hi to my old buddies andnew :WavHello:

How is everyone today. Did anyone get caught in those storms I was watching on TV about? Is everyone OK! :Speechless:

Where I live we only had some winds. Nothing compared to what some of the other states had.

I hope and pray that everyone is all right. Called my son's house in Kentucky. At 1:30am they had the warning sirens go off and they were sheltering themselves for about 1hr. before the all clear siren went off.

This weather is going crazy all over the world. It is really scary.

BE SAFE---- Jappy :grouphug:

Jappy 02-07-2008 03:09 PM

How is everyone today? Get anymore snow? The weather is getting
very cold again after 2 days of abnormal spring weather.

My son in Kentucky had some property damage from the storms. But
like he was saying that is nothing. His heart goes out to the families that lost
someone.

Sage did well on her post-op visit. This time she was not to relaxed. I
think she was remembering me leaving her there 2 weeks ago and what came
after that. They say dum animals. I wish my memory was as good as hers.

Later today my daughter is taking me to have a full body massage. I can't wait. I need that. Maybe it will help get some of the knots in the body
out. Has anyone else ever had a full massage?

Jappy :grouphug:

DM 02-07-2008 03:16 PM

Hello Jappy! A massage sounds wonderful. Yes, I have had many of them and have been trying to get them on a more regular basis. She really knows how to loosen up my muscles.

The weather is pitiful lately. We got 12-14 inches yesterday and I'm sick of white. Hope you enjoy your massage....

Hello Jappy,
I'm terribly sorry to hear about your son, but happy to hear that Sage is doing quite well. :)

A total body massage sounds lovely about now. I've only had one in my life, and it was like a dream; I didn't want to get off of the table!!! How did you enjoy your massage?:)

SallyC 02-07-2008 08:27 PM

I had a full body message from my DH, once or twice..;)

I finally ran out of luck and caught one of the Kid's Colds.:( .. I feel lousy.

I'm mostly lurking, tonight.....Carry On..:)

Good Morning everyone :):)

I had my body massage and I feel like I am floating. I can't remember
when I felt so loose. She said that my body was in knots. I laughed and said
that"s not all it is. While she was working I had a bad spasm on my shoulders
going down the back. But she was able to really help me with that. Better
then meds.

My daughter made an appointment for us for next month. She said I
need it and that it will propably help me more. :D

I don't know if my eyes are really going or what, but I can't find our
reality thread that we had going. Does anyone know where it went. Or is my
brain really fried?

Has anyone heard from Geri?

MSacorn 02-10-2008 01:02 AM

Beth has a boo-boo [major whine]

Hi Everyone :Wave-Hello:
Missed ya all. I finally am back. Where have I been?, you ask. On the couch.

On 2/1, I was walking down the stairs to my sisters basement and missed the last two steps. I landed and rolled my ankle. I knew it was bad. I wish I had broke it. Nope, a horrible sprain.

It is 9 days later and it is still 3 times the size it should be. It's so colorful, like a depressed rainbow. From my toes up my leg. (my knee is sprained too)And the pain is a 10. No, vicodin doesn't help. I can't take more as I can barely handle crutches without any meds. The crutches are upping my uncomforted pain in my hands.

I start PT on the 14th. I can hardly wait. Maybe they can take the pain away.

Dad has healed so quickly from his hip replacement, by necessity. Good thing huh? Although having to take care of me is tiring him out a bit. He has doubled my rent. :D

I just wanted to touch base with you all, and let you know I'm here and won't be going far for a while.

:grouphug:

AfterMyNap 02-10-2008 11:54 AM

Oh, Beth! How nasty for you. I'm glad you checked in, I had begun to worry about you. We need to look out for our little posse of oldbies.:grouphug:

SallyC 02-10-2008 01:11 PM

Oh, Beth, how awful for you. :( I've missed you bunches and glad you are on the mend.

Take care..

Riverwild 02-10-2008 03:09 PM

Jeez Beth!

Way to make an entrance!

You more than likely would have had an easier time if it had broken! All sorts of ligaments and muscles probably twisted and are screaming in pain to you right now!

I did the same thing a few years ago. It didn't stop hurting and swelling didn't go down. I went back and asked for an orthopedist and told him something else was wrong. After another xray, he found that a ligament had torn away from the bone and taken a piece of bone with it.

I got three months of workman's comp for it, along with drugs, PT, an air cast and better crutches ( it happened at work :D)

If the swelling and pain do not lessen, I would go see the doc again. There may be something they didn't see.

I hope you feel better soon!

Jappy 02-10-2008 06:43 PM

Wow Beth you really did it. :(

Take care and hope that you feel better as the days go on.

Keep us informed on how you are feeling

Wishing you well, and glad that DF is doing better.

Jappy

tovaxin_lab_rat 02-10-2008 07:26 PM

Beth  I am glad you checked in too! I have done the same thing and broken my ankle too! Breaking it is much better and heals quicker!

Crutches are a pain to use. I got to the point where I was using my roller chair from desk to get around the house rather than those stupid crutches. Thought I would kill myself on the crutches! And me and stairs on crutches! Free Entertainment!

I hope you heal fast and get back to your ol' self again!

Taffy 02-10-2008 07:42 PM

Poor little Corny! Your rest and get all better! Well, make sure you do everything the PT says! Check back really soon too!

MSacorn 02-11-2008 12:10 AM

Thanks so much everyone for the get well wishes. :Thanx:

Today was better for me. I didn't walk around as much. I find I can put weight on the toes/ball of my foot for a moment at a time. That makes walking, not hopping on crutches easier. I use the second crutch to help me stay balanced, and I still am bouncing off the walls and stuff. :D

I also thought my vision was going this weekend. But, I just bent my glasses back in to shape and voila I can see!

I'm counting the days to PT. I can't believe I'm looking forward to torture.

A question for RW and others who have been through this. Is it normal to have this feeling of pressure rushing down to my ankle after having it elevated (or not pointed down)? I swear, I can watch a donut of fluid gather like a spare tire around the belly.

Thanks everybody, I don't how I get through life without you all!
:grouphug:

Jappy 02-11-2008 06:55 PM

I have to share this with all of you

As you know I have a german shepard "Sage" 7months old. :)

I was watching a program about how these horrible people in this world
train certain dogs for fighting each other for money. That this of course is
illegal.
They showed two dogs fighting and the damage one did to the other to
win and kill it. Well me the great lover of animals started to cry. Next thing
I realize Sage is sitting in front of me, patting me with her paw. She then
came up to my face and started to lick my tears. This made me cry even
more to realize the love of a Dog. They do understand when you are hurting.
They have more understanding and love then some people have. :circlelove:

This is why I hate the expression when you hear someone say "It was
only a dum dog"

I am so happy that I got her to help me fill in the emptiness in my life.
Each day she does something different, that makes me happy she is here.
OH don't get me wrong some days I feel the opposite when she acts like
a Spoiled Teenager (dog years) But who spoiled her :D:D

Jappy :grouphug:

SallyC 02-11-2008 07:56 PM

Awwwwwwww, that is so sweet....made me cry too,

Some football guy is now doing time in jail for having and mistreating fight dogs...Yeaaaaaaa..:)

:grouphug:

Yes it is normal. STAY OFF IT!:p Keep it elevated and iced( or warmed, whatever they told you to do!) and wrapped! Take your pain meds!

They didn't give you crutches for decoration! Use them. It will heal faster if you let it heal rather than trying to use it.

Mine used to throb every time I would take it down from elevation. Man, that hurt enough so I still remember it! I could feel it swelling!

The glasses thing was FUNNY!

Hope the PT helps and you get back on your feet, both of them, soon! Let us know how it goes.

Hi Everyone :Wave-Hello::Wave-Hello:

How was your Valentine Day? Anyone get something real special
as a gift.

Being that my DH isn't with us anymore, I was sort of down in
the dumps. I said to myself "NO" Joyce you can't let this get to you.
You have been doing better lately. SO I put SAGE in the car and went to
the store. Bought a box of Valentine Candy, some other good stuff. Went
home and ate some. Sage and I had a good day. Now today I am sorry about
all the calories I had.:eek:

I feel like I put on 5 extra pounds. "O" WELL :D:D

It did help.

Jappy :)
