Chris-- Geez Louise (that's my middle name LOL!) pneumonia...you sound like me now...get yourself well! Beth - glad your ankle is healing...how much longer in the cast?????

Hi Cheryl
No cast, the air cast lasted 6 days and my doc said take that off. I guess the ER was so surprised it wasn't broken that they treated it like it was.  I took the ace wrap off a couple weeks ago, and wore a neoprene brace (walmart). I stopped that because it hightened the spasticity in the achilles, so stiff. Yuck. So now, I just wear slippers in the house and tennies outdoors. I can go up stairs like a big girl  but have to go down stairs like a little kid.  PT is kicking my butt, but I'm still working on getting the swelling down. More ice and elevation. It actually increased by 1/8 in. in a week. Not good.I see a podiatrist on the 18th. Not sure what s/he can do, but pcp wants it done. Wow, this has turned into a long reply. Aren't you glad you asked?

I'm here, I just haven't been well as of late. I just came home from the Dr., and was told I have Pneumonia!
This is all Michael's fault. He had the Flu a few weeks ago, and then I caught it last week, and just wasn't able to shake it. I tried going to work yesterday, and they sent me home with 102* temperature.
I was up coughing and coughing all night with a horrific headache. I finally gave in and went to the Dr. this morning, and had a chest x-ray. Yes, I have Pneumonia, and was put on a Tri-Pak and given some medication for wheezing. I've never wheezed before in my life.
